Bali is an Indonesian island that is located between Java and Lombok.
One of the highest points in Bali is Mount Agung which is an active
volcano that has not erupted since 1963. This is one of the most
popular tourists destination and wedding spot around. The island
of Bali is surrounded by beautiful blue waters, that are embedded with
the most magical coral reefs all throughout the deep blue waters.
The beaches here in Bali are considered unique because if you are on the
south side of the island then you will stumble upon beautiful white
beaches yet if you venture over to the north and west then you will step
onto exotic black sand!
Site Seeing In Bali Uluwatu Sunset The Uluwata temple, located in the south western tip of the island, is a home to one of the greatest sunsets in Bali! There is a fee to enter the temple, and an extra fee to see a traditional Balinese dance. Knees must be covered and those wearing shorts must wear a sarong. The temple is "taken care of" by island monkeys who protect the temple from bad spirits. Temple guests are asked not to wear shiny jewelry or clothing which can attract the monkeys. Penelokan Kintamani This is a
great thing to do in Bali for those who like to hike! It will take
2-3 hours to reach the top of this mountain, but the view is well worth
it! This mountain view over looks the largest of Bali's 4
lakes. This is one of the most famous tourists objects in
Bali. Once on top you will receive some of the best views that
many photographers would die for. This place is considered part of
a Natural Conservation because of the dense Flora and Fauna which takes
over the general area. It is breathtakingly beautiful here and a
rare treat that not many people have the pleasure of experiencing.
Gunung Kawi This is one of the great things to do in Bali! Gunung Kawi is is one of the largest, and oldest monuments in Bali! This is a Hindu Temple complex. This temple is steeped in so much history. You will find that this temple is centuries old the best guess being around 1049-1077. This place is still used as a place for meditation and peace of mind. This is one of the most popular tourist locations because of the ancient history that you will find here and for the deep spiritualism that you will find here. This is a great place to pick up some souvenirs, trinkets and take some of the most beautiful pictures. You will find several vendors that have set booths up in this area. Goa Gajah
Also
called "the elephant cave", this temple is a great thing to do in
Bali. Like other Balinese temples, Goa Gajah has holy water pools
and streams. Guests are asked to wear sarongs while in the temple
as a sign of respect. This breathtaking temple was built back in the
ninth century and it served as a sanctuary. Once you set your eyes
upon the cave you will see an elaborate rock entrance with amazing
carvings all around the mouth of the cave. At first glance you
will see the carvings are of various creatures and demons carved
right at the mouth of the cave. What we believe is that this cave
was constructed and the creatures were carved on it to keep the evil
spirits out, it was believed to be a safe haven of sorts. The
primary figure on the cave was believed to be an elephant which is why
the cave has been nicknamed Elephant Cave. Adventure Sports In Bali There are many water sports companies in Bali which offer fun activities like snorkeling and jet ski rental!
