New year’s eve in Bali 2015

The festive season is soon upon us and Bali is a prime spot for fun New Year’s Eve activities. Many people flock to the shores and clubs of the island of Gods to pop their champagne bottles and witness the magnificent fireworks. The rainy season might cause a few showers every now and then, but who cares getting a little bit wet in the tropical, on average +27 degrees, climate.

Whether you’re looking forward to celebrating your big night in a more mellow atmosphere or partying the night away, we have compiled a list of spots and activities to suit every taste.

  1. Kuta Beach

Every New Year’s Eve Kuta beach hosts a parade or carnival in the afternoon and then becomes the main place for party-goers. It is one of the most crowded places, with hundreds or even thousands of people, which can really add to the excitement

  1. Puputan Badung Square

Afternoon festivities and merriments commence here for the NYE Bali carnival and parade, followed by big fireworks after the countdown.

  1. Jimbaran Bay and Bali Botanical Gardens in Bedugul

For those looking for less-crowded, low-key celebrations with lovely ambience, we recommend heading to one of the abovementioned spots. A quiet family dinner by the ocean or a trip to the beautiful gardens to enjoy your day in the midst of lovely plants and cultural celebrations can be a wonderful experience.

  1. Sanur Beach

Watching the first sunrise of the year 2016 on this popular family beach is a must-do.

  1. Tugu Hotel’s New Year’s Eve

Welcome the New Year Tugu-style in Pasar Malam atmosphere where you’ll enjoy a lavish dinner, live music and a Reog Performance, topped off by releasing sky lanterns at midnight.

Most of the beach clubs in Bali host special new year’s events. You can choose between a cocktail party at Finn’s beach club, a gala dinner at El Kabron and a midnight masquerade at Nikki Beach , or if you still manage to score tickets to the almost sold-out events, Potato Head’s 2-day new year’s eve festival or Cocoon’s new year’s eve fantasy.

Stop the clock and soak up the scene at one of the best New Year’s Eve parties on the island. Wear that mask and go gold while enjoying the spectacular W fireworks and W’s signature light show.

  1. Double-Six Rooftop

Party like it’s 1999 on top of one of Seminyak’s most famous social havens, the Double-Six Rooftop from NYE 5pm until NYD 2am.  Overlook Seminyak Beach and the panoramic beachfront views of Seminyak’s fireworks well into the the wee hours. We recommend booking a sundeck or pool pod in advance.

  1. Fine-dining through the countdown

Most of Bali’s prime fine-dining spots, such as Merah PutihSundara and Pepper’s Seminyak host multi-course dinners in fancy atmosphere.
